Genna Umback – School-based Apprentice

Genna Umback won the HTN Cooking Competition on 26 May held at Wollongong TAFE.

Genna came 1st in the 1st year Apprentice section competing with 12 other Apprentices from various Hospitality Establishments who are working as full time 1st year Apprentices and are working 5 days per week versus Genna who is working 1 day per week and attending school and is only in Year 10.

Genna displayed a Professionalism beyond her years and represented Bega TAFE and Bega High School in an extremely tough competition. To say we are proud is an understatement as I was there when it was announced and the Bega contingent were ecstatic with her win.
