MEGT Project Rebuild
The Queensland and Victorian floods and heavy rains in NSW have caused significant hardship for thousands of people and businesses.
Besides checking out insurance policy details, there is financial assistance available for apprentices and their employers and it’s important at these times, more so than any others, to ensure you receive all the income for which you are eligible.
If your Australian Apprenticeships paperwork has been lost in the floods, such as claims forms, your local MEGT Australian Apprenticeships Centre may be able to replace it, so please call 13MEGT for assistance.
Trades people from all around Australia are needed to help Queensland rebuild and to restore businesses and livelihoods. There are some things you will need to consider if you are moving your apprentice interstate with you for an extended period of time.
They include
- checking with your State Training Authority before moving the apprentice interstate
- enrolling your apprentice with a Queensland Registered Training Organisation
- advising your current RTO of the transfer
- checking with MEGT to ensure the training package provided in your State is also applicable in Queensland
- notifying your Australian Apprenticeships Centre of the new contact details for monitoring of the apprenticeship.
If you lease your apprentice through MEGT Group Training we will organise all the above for you.
