acpet honours life members and farewells ceo
Last Friday night more than 300 delegates and guests attended the 2010 ACPET National Conference Dinner to celebrate the conclusion of another very successful conference.
At the dinner the ACPET Board awarded two ACPET Life Membership and farewelled ACPET CEO, Andrew Smith.

Life Memberships were awarded to Julie Moss and David Windridge in recognition of their work in ACPET and in promoting the interests of the private education and training sector.
Julie Moss, Managing Director of Photography Studies College (PSC), has been involved in the vocational education and training sector for more than twenty years. She has been a member of ACPET since its inception and was elected to the National Board in 1998. Julie has been actively involved in representing the interests of private providers in a range of capacities both nationally and at a State level. Julie served as National Chair of ACPET from 2004 to 2008.
David is the CEO of MEGT (Australia) Ltd, a multi faceted organisation involved in employment, training, apprenticeships and traineeships. David was an ACPET Board Director from 2000 to 2009 and has served as the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and Deputy National Chair. He was also previously Chairperson and Director Group Training (GTA) Victoria, and a Director of Group Training Australia.
Andrew Smith concluded his last day as ACPET CEO with the closing of the 2010 National Conference. Andrew leaves ACPET to take up the position of CEO at Swinburne College. On behalf of the Board, ACPET members and staff wishes Andrew all the best in his new role.
